1 pound ground Sausage, browned and drained
12 slices whole wheat bread, ends cut off and torn into pieces
1 large package shredded Cheddar Cheese
8 eggs
2 cups Milk
Salt to taste
Preheat oven to 350. In greased 9x11 casserole dish, layer 1/2 bread pieces, 1/3 pkg. of shredded cheese, and 1/2 of cooked sausage. Top with rest of bread pieces, 1/2 of remaining cheese, and sausage. In large bowl, mix eggs, milk, and salt until well blended. Pour mixture over casserole and top with last portion of cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hour.
This may also be prepared the night before and stored in refrigerator until preparation.
